Suarez Passes the Armband |
Liverpool's initial transfer bid for the starlet was £12.7 Million, however, Ajax have shot down the offer as disrespectful. New Liverpool owners John W. Henry and New England Sports Ventures appear to not want to pay more than £20 Million for Suarez who now fears his move is in jeopardy as the Amsterdam club has slapped a £30 Million Pound price tag on their talisman.
Today it appears that Suarez will be holding discussions within the next 24 hours in hopes of convincing the club to lower their asking price. If the want away attacker hands in a transfer request as well it may help, but if the price for him can not be negotiated lower it is likely the deal will not go through until this summer if ever.
There also appears no means of a swap deal with player plus cash for Suarez, as the only possible target was Ryan Babel whom moved to TSG Hoffenheim earlier this week. Liverpool's Milan Jovanovic appears to be on the trading block but he seems of no interest to the Dutch outfit.
