Fernando Gago Looks for Real Exit with Liverpool of Boca Juniors Likely

(Bleacher Report)The last two seasons have seen Argentine midfielder Fernando Gago fall out of favor at Real Madrid. His best season by far was the 2008-09 campaign when he had 33 total appearances with one goal and nine assists for the club.

In the following year he failed to replicate his same level of contribution as injuries again threatened his career, and the arrival of both Xabi Alonso and Sami Khedira have his largely relegated to the bench.

His first top flight club in Argentina, Boca Juniors, have been tracking him for a possible South American return, but he could be offered a lifeline to Liverpool.

Xabi Alonso would more than likely praise any current squad mate if a potential move to Merseyside were to come up as he is still a Red at heart in so many ways.

Gago is probably more likely to take a return to Argentina or possibly move to Italy or Germany as he knows the Liverpool midfield is already a packed house, but he could be offered a deal he can not refuse.
